About Me

Mini believes very much that kids are like sponges who can absorb and hold all what we introduce. It all started with a demonstration based on 'leaves and flowers' theme at a local preschool and since then many requests for kids dressing ups, the questions about the meanings of each accessory and jewellery item, the quick demo of an altar combined with easy to relate spiritual symbolism of the east, the mindful patterns of 'rangoli' to relax as well as focus small minds, the endless global learning links between maths and arts, the eco-crafts, the traditional music, the puppet shows, the incense, the dancing and the colourful experience have all added to a unique MiniCrafts experience in all of Mini's workshops.

All activities in her workshops allow fun based learning through design which allow kids as well as adults to trust their instincts and to express themselves with creativity. Ultimately, we are all shaped by the immediate environment around us. With this learning and her deep roots in Indian arts and classical dance, painting, sketching and experience in the architectural world; Healing through Arts and Learning through Crafts has always been the core vision of MiniCrafts because everyone has latent creativity waiting to unfold.
Mini is also a Designer.. an Architect..Building Biology Practitioner and a Visualiser with a passion for ancient cities, regenerating and sustaining built environments. Creativity to her means hope, expression and therapy. She is also a Dementia Friends Champion and committed to improving understanding and awareness of dementia. As a Building Biology Practitioner she understands the relationship between the buildings, life and the environment and believes in the powerful role of ‘mindful’ design to uplift and heal 'sick' built environments. She enjoys eco- crafts, sketching, nature walks, web designing and regularly publishes articles on issues closer to her heart.
Note: Qualified and registered as architect in India. Throughout the document, the title “Architect” is used when practising internationally, whilst for working in the UK the title “Architectural Designer” is used.
